BREAK IN REPORT – JANUARY 2019

On 1/1/19 at 04:41 hours an alarm signal was received from the Avenues.  Intruders gained access by breaking a window but fled when the alarm sounded leaving curtains on the ground.  Client was advised and matter was reported at Five Avenue Police Post. Nothing was stolen.

 

On 4/1/19 at 02:15 hours an alarm signal was received from the City Centre. Intruders gained entry by breaking the main door and were intending to remove some boxes but fled empty handed when the alarm sounded.

 

On 4/1/19 at 02:51 hours a phone a signal was received from the City Centre. Intruders smashed entrance glass door and stole veterinary items, alarm sounded and they ran away.

 

On 5/1/19 at 06:54 hours our client from Chisipite reported a break in. Intruders cut the electric fence, which was not connected for response, jumped over the durawall into the yard. They broke into two cars and stole car radio, CDs, spare wheel and cell phone charger.  This area is not covered by an alarm system.

 

On 8/1/19 at 00:52 hours an alarm signal was received from Milton Park. Intruders gained access into the yard by jumping over a durawall. They broke a window, but fled empty handed when the alarm sounded.

 

On 9/1/19 at 04:31 hours an alarm signal was received from Glen Norah.  Intruders bent two palisade bars to gain access but fled empty handed when the alarm sounded. Matter was reported at Glen Norah Police Station.

 

On 9/1/19 at 23:59 hours an alarm signal was received from Machipisa. Intruders damaged one palisade bar to gain access and tempered with the fuel outlet valve but fled empty handed when the alarm sounded. Matter was reported at Machipisa Police Station.

 

On 10/1/19 at 02:03 hours an alarm signal was received from the City Centre. Intruders smashed open the main entrance doors and stole suits. Alarm activated and the intruders escaped with their loot. Matter was reported at Harare Central Police Station.

 

On 13/1/19 at 04:57 hours an alarm signal was received from the City Centre. Intruders broke a window but failed to gain entry due to the burglar bars and fled empty handed.

 

On 14/1/19 at 12:18 hours an alarm signal was received from Chitungwiza. Intruders took advantage of the stay-away demonstrations and looted the shop.  The reaction team could not attend due to the serious magnitude of the protests and political disturbances. Key holder was alerted.

 

On 18/1/19 at 01:42 hours our guard from Willowvale advised that there was a break in at the premises he was guarding.  Intruders jumped over a durawall behind the guard room and stole two wheels off the trailer.  This area is not covered by an alarm system.

 

On 18/1/19 at 08:17 hours a call was received from our client in Zengeza.  Intruders cut the razor wire and broke the lock to the fowl run and stole some fowls. This area is not covered by an alarm system.

 

On 19/1/19 at 20:58 hours an alarm signal was received from Mabelreign. Intruders cut the razor wire but fled empty handed when the alarm sounded.

 

On 22/1/19 at 2309 hours an alarm was received from Marimba. The intruders had siphoned 9 X 20 litres of diesel from a base station which was all recovered by response team on arrival. Matter was reported at Marimba Police Station and the loot was confiscated by the police.

 

On 23/1/19 at 0251 hours an alarm was received from Waterfalls. Safeguard static guard had seen intruders trying to siphon fuel and he activated his whistle for help. Neighbours woke up and effected a citizen arrest on one suspect who endured the wrath of the public before being surrendered at Waterfalls Police Station. Reaction team recovered a 210 litres container plus 4 X 20 litre containers which were all confiscated by Waterfalls police as exhibit.

 

On 25/1/19 at 02:23 hours an alarm signal was received from Mount Pleasant. Intruders assaulted the guard on duty and gained access by smashing the glass window.  They fled with a flat screen TV when the alarm sounded. Case reported to Marlborough Police Station.

 

MIDLANDS PROVINCE

Gweru

On 12/01/19, an unknown number of intruders broke into the house located in the low density suburb of Daylesford and assaulted family members demanding cash. These intruders demanded cash from the family, but failed to find any. The house has both indoor and outdoor alarm system which was not armed at the time of the incident.

On 29/01/19 in broad day light, intruders broke into the house located in the   low density suburb of North lea in Gweru and stole an undisclosed amount of cash while the occupant was at work.  The house has no alarm system for intruder detection.

On the night of 30/01/19, intruders broke into one property located in North lea and attempted to remove a spare wheel from a vehicle parked on the car park.   The alarm triggered and the intruders ran away.

 

 

MUTARE

On 5/01/19 at 07:24 hours in the residential area we received a phone call from a residential property reporting a break in and theft.  We attended and noted that the intruders gained entrance into the premises by breaking two dura wall panels.  They gained access into the house through a window which was not closed.  Some electrical goods were reported stolen.  Investigations established that the alarm system was not armed when the break in occurred.  The case was reported to Mutare Central Police.

On the 07/01/19 in the industrial area we received a phone call from a private security guard at an industrial property reporting breaking and theft.  We attended and noted the criminals entered the premises by breaking two panels of the dura wall and cutting six strands of electric wire.  The break in and theft occurred when there was no electricity.  5 x12 volt batteries were reported stolen.  The internal guard responsible for arming the alarm system advised that he forgot to arm the alarm system.  The case was reported to Mutare Central Police.

On the 20/01/19 at 07:50 hours in the cbd we received a phone call from a retail client advising that there was break in and theft at his shop.  We attended and noticed that the criminals broke one of the window pane and fished out goods worth $195.00 through the broken window.  The alarm did not activate.  The case was reported to Mutare Central Police.
