Armed Robbery, 17 July 2025, 0138hrs, Corner 1st Avenue and 2nd Street, Mutare, Manicaland– An alarm signal was received from the site, prompting immediate action. The on-site private guard reported that a group of unidentified intruders attempted to attack him. The intruders allegedly fired shots and attempted to break into the offices, reportedly carrying explosives. Their efforts were unsuccessful, as the gun shots drew the attention of nearby individuals and passing vehicles, causing the suspects to flee the scene without gaining entry.
Break-In, 16 July 2025, 0320hrs, Corner 14th Avenue and Fife Street, City Centre, Bulawayo –Two unknown intruders broke into the above-mentioned business office. The suspects gained entry through the front door and stole laptops and power banks before fleeing. Police attended the scene and investigations are ongoing.
Theft, Unknown Date & Time, Bishop Gaul Avenue, Avondale, Harare– A case of theft was reported on the 14th of July 2025 at 1021hrs from the above-mentioned premises after bags of cement were discovered missing. The cement had been stored in one of the rooms on site and was last accounted for on Saturday, the 12th of July 2025 at approximately 1825hrs. Upon inspection the cement was missing. Investigations are underway.
Suspicious Persons, 11 July 2025, 0139hrs, Selous Avenue, Avenues, Harare– The security guard on duty reported having observed two unknown intruders attempting to scale over the perimeter wall into the premises. Response team swiftly attended but the intruders had already fled the scene.
Theft, 08 July 2025, Unknown Time, Chilonga Road, Chiredzi, Masvingo– Three pop sprinklers were reported stolen from the above-mentioned site. Investigations are ongoing.
Theft, 07 July 2025, 2300hrs, Dhlela Way, Graniteside, Harare – A helmet was reported stolen from a parked motorbike during routine patrols. The motorbike had been temporarily left unattended with the helmet hanging on the mirror. Upon return, the helmet was missing.
Break-In, 07 July 2025, 0142hrs, 13th Avenue, City Centre, Bulawayo– A panic signal was received from the above-mentioned site, prompting the immediate dispatch of a response team. Upon arrival, it was confirmed that a break-in had occurred. Access was gained by breaking padlocks and forcing open the door. The quantity and value of the stolen items are yet to be confirmed.
Break-In, 06 July 2025, 0202hrs, Razende Street, City Centre, Harare– A panic signal was received from the site, prompting immediate deployment of a response team. Upon arrival, it was discovered that an intruder had gained entry by breaking an asbestos sheet. CCTV footage captured the suspect loading cell phones into a satchel before fleeing through the same entry point. The total number of stolen devices remains undetermined as investigations continue.
Break-In, 03 July 2025, 2003hrs, Churchill Avenue, Alexandra Park, Harare – A break-in was reported after intruders allegedly scaled the building using exterior pillars and forcibly gained entry by smashing a glass door. Once inside, the suspects stole a silver Toyota Vitz (ACV 6447), three DVRs, cash, groceries, and other valuables. ZRP attended the scene, and investigations are underway.
Theft, 23 July 2025, 2000hrs, Tomlison Drive, Gunhill, Harare– A Safeguard guard at the above mentioned site reported the arrest of two intruders caught stealing maize from the sports field. The suspects were taken to Highlands Police Station for further investigation.
Theft, 16 July 2025, 1138hrs, Mharapara Road, Chitungwiza, Harare– A panic signal was received from the above-mentioned site, prompting the immediate dispatch of a response team. Upon arrival, the team met the on-duty Safeguard security guard and site caretaker, who reported observing a student throwing a sewer pipe, tile pieces, a bucket, and its stand over the perimeter wall, allegedly with the intent to steal. The matter was resolved internally with no police involvement.
Break-In, 12 July 2025, 1803hrs, Quorn Avenue, Mount Pleasant, Harare – A call was received from the client requesting response assistance. The response team promptly attended, and on arrival, they found an unknown intruder who had been apprehended by the caretaker on site after he sneaked into the property unauthorised. The intruder was taken to the Police Station and charged with unlawful
entry.

Armed Robbery, 21 July 2025, 0950hrs, Old Khami Road, Thorngrove, Bulawayo – Four armed suspects forced entry into the premises and stole a substantial amount of cash in both US dollars and South African rands. They fled the scene using a client’s vehicle, which was later found abandoned. Police responded promptly, and investigations are ongoing.
Theft, 19 July 2025, 2300hrs, Second Street, City Centre, Harare – A swiping machine was reported stolen from the premises. CCTV footage captured an unidentified individual fleeing the scene with the machine. Investigations are ongoing.
Robbery, 19 July 2025, 1928hrs, Zengeza, Chitungwiza, Harare – A panic signal was received from the site, prompting the immediate dispatch of a response team. Upon arrival two on-duty private guards, reported that six unidentified intruders, driving a Mazda Demio (AVE 8110), had ambushed them and attempted to force entry into the fuel station offices. The suspects, reportedly armed with a machete fled the scene empty-handed after the alarm sounded. No injuries were reported.
Fraud, 3 July 2025, 2330hrs, Fife Street, City Centre, Bulawayo – A customer used counterfeit currency to purchase engine oil and was issued genuine change. The fraud was only discovered by the petrol attendant after the transaction had been completed, and the suspect had fled the scene.
Theft, 14 July 2025, 1300hrs, Newcastle Road, Mutare, Manicaland – A call for assistance was received from the client of the above-mentioned site. A response team was promptly dispatched and arrived in time to observe a Nissan Canter being loaded with roofing sheets. The invoice value of the goods had been altered, apparently to mimic a previous theft incident. The vehicle was discreetly escorted to its destination, where CID officers intervened and arrested the suspects. Investigations are ongoing.
Theft, 04 July 2025, Unknown Time, Coventry Road, Light Industrial Area, Gweru, Midlands – A theft was reported at the above-mentioned site after suspects allegedly gained access to the premises and stole a light from inside the shop. The incident is under investigation.
Theft, Unknown Date & Time, Wanderer Street, Belmont, Bulawayo – A report was lodged regarding the theft of an electric motor from the workshop premises. The motor was last seen on the 25th of July 2025, at 1700hrs, when employees concluded their shift. The matter is under investigation.
Robbery, 19 July 2025, Craster Road, Southerton, Harare – A report was received indicating that a guard was under attack from unknown intruders who were throwing stones into the premises. A response team was immediately dispatched but on arrival, the intruders had already fled. It was observed that a strand of wire had been cut indicating an attempted entry. No property was reported stolen.
Break-In, 17 July 2025, 0212hrs, Dumfries Road, Workington, Harare – An alarm signal was received from the above-mentioned site, prompting the immediate dispatch of a response team. Upon arrival, it was established that unknown intruders had cut the razor wire on the southern perimeter of the premises. The suspects attempted to vandalise the alarm sensors but fled the scene after the alarm was triggered. No entry was gained into the buildings, and no losses were reported.
Theft, 14 July 2025, Unknown Time, Telford Road, Graniteside, Harare – Two security lights were confirmed stolen from the front section of the premises. The theft was discovered during a routine check, and site staff verified that the lights had not been removed for any authorised purpose. Investigations are ongoing.
Break- In, 11 July 2025, 0122hrs, Lyton Road, Workington, Harare – The guard on duty at the above-mentioned site reported that intruders had cut through the razor wire to gain access to the premises and stole two vehicle batteries from a truck parked on-site. The response team attended the scene together with police officials for further investigations.
Theft, 07 July 2025, 2300hrs, Dhlela Way, Graniteside, Harare – A security officer reported that while conducting checks at the above-mentioned site, his motorbike was parked with a helmet hanging on the mirror. Upon returning from the checks, he discovered the helmet was missing. The matter was reported to the police for further investigation.
Theft, 08 July 2025, 2030hrs, Cardiff Road, Mutare, Manicaland – The security guard on duty reported seeing an intruder carrying batteries on site. The suspect fled upon being confronted, leaving behind two batteries. A response team dispatched to the scene later discovered a truck with four batteries missing at the site. The case was reported to the police and investigations are ongoing.
Armed Robbery, 7 July 2025, 0130hrs, Dagenham Road, Southerton, Harare – A panic signal was received following an armed robbery involving seven intruders who stormed the premises. The suspects tied up two guards and fired warning shots to intimidate them before stealing cell phones and a pair of handcuffs. They proceeded to cut through a razor wire fence in an attempt to access a neighbouring property but fled the scene after the guard raised an alarm. Investigations are ongoing.
Theft, 06 July 2025, 2000hrs, Buhera Road, Murambinda, Manicaland– A case of illegal mineral possession was reported after an employee was seen placing a stone inside a company cabin. Security teams conducted a joint inspection and recovered a satchel containing a suspected tantalite stone hidden under a bed. The individual admitted having picked it up the previous evening.
Robbery, 21 July 2025, 0500hrs, Seke Road, Harare– A report was received at the Control Room regarding a common robbery involving three suspects near the Seke Road flyover. The incident occurred as the victim was en route to board transport. The victim resisted the attack, biting off one suspect’s finger during the struggle. The suspects fled the scene with the victim’s belongings and investigations are ongoing.
Robbery, 10 July 2025, 1800hrs, Ardebennie Road, Workington, Harare – An individual was robbed of personal items, including a wallet containing documents, money, and a phone, while en route to work. The case was reported to police, who managed to recover the cell phone, but the wallet and its valuable contents remain missing. Suspects have been detained for further investigation.
Break-In, 26 July 2025, 1408hrs, Chelmsford Road, Matsheumhlophe Bulawayo – An alarm activation was received from the above-mentioned site, prompting the immediate dispatch of a response team. Upon arrival, the occupant reported that one of the windows had been tampered with, but the suspects failed to gain entry into the house. Nothing was reported stolen.
Break-In, 21 July 2025, Unknown Time, 27th Avenue, Haig Park, Harare– A report was received from the site after the occupant discovered that the battery of his vehicle had been stolen. According to the report, unknown intruders jumped over the perimeter wall and gained access to the premises where they forced open the vehicle door and removed the battery from under the bonnet. A response team, alongside ZRP, promptly attended the scene and investigations are ongoing.
Break-In, 21 July 2025, Unknown Time, Enterprise Road, Highlands, Harare – A report was received regarding suspected intruders at an unoccupied property. A response team was immediately dispatched and, upon arrival, discovered that windows had been broken and several items stolen, including electric cables, copper pipes, septic covers, and other equipment. A hacksaw, believed to have been used in the theft, was recovered at the scene. Investigations are ongoing.
Break-In, 20 July 2025, 2221hrs, Sarah Makuyana Street, Runyararo West, Masvingo– A panic signal was received from the above-mentioned residence, prompting the immediate dispatch of a response team. Upon arrival, the team was informed that unknown intruders had attempted entry by opening a bedroom window but fled when the alarm sounded. A thorough search of the premises
revealed no signs of theft.
Break-In, 19 July 2025, 0316hrs, College Road, Alexandra Park, Harare – A call for assistance was received from a resident at the above-mentioned address, prompting the immediate dispatch of a response team. Upon arrival, the team met with the occupant, who reported that three unidentified intruders had gained access to the premises by breaching the razor wire on the western side of the perimeter. The suspects then forced open the screen door and entered the house. The occupant raised alarm upon hearing the disturbance, causing the intruders to flee the scene without taking anything.
Break-In, 19 July 2025, 2245hrs, Seke Road, Waterfalls, Harare – A panic signal was received from the site, prompting the immediate dispatch of a response team. Upon arrival, the team was briefed by two on-duty private security guards who reported that 15 intruders had cut the razor wire to gain access to the premises. The guards discharged warning shots upon sighting the intruders, compelling them to flee without stealing any property.
Theft, 16 July 2025, Unknown Time, Cambridge Drive, Greendale, Harare– In the early hours of the morning, unknown intruders forced entry into the above- mentioned residence and stole solar batteries, electronic equipment, and alcoholic beverages from an unsecured gazebo. The incident was reported to ZRP, and investigations are ongoing.
Break-In, 16 July 2025, 2341hrs, Kenhill Close, Glen Lorne, Harare – An alarm signal was received from the above address, prompting the immediate dispatch of a response team. Upon arrival, the team met with the client who reported observing an unknown intruder roaming the yard. A thorough search of the premises found no signs of forced entry; however, CCTV footage confirmed the intruder’s presence within the property. The matter was reported to the police, and investigations are
ongoing.
Break-In, 12 July, 2312hrs, Glen Coe, Avenue, Highlands, Harare– A response team responded to a report of unknown intruders attempting to gain access to a residence via the roof. The suspects used a ladder that had been left outside, leaning against the wall, to attempt entry. The intrusion was unsuccessful, and no property was stolen.
Break- In, 09 July 2025, 0058hrs, Cambridge Drive, Greendale, Harare – A security breach was reported at the above residence, prompting the dispatch of a response team. Upon arrival, the team met the client who reported that intruders had scaled the perimeter wall and forced open a window to gain entry into the house. The suspects stole a laptop and alcoholic beverages before fleeing the scene. No alarm signal was received during the incident, as the alarm system was not armed.
Break-In, 09 July 2025, 0000hrs, Rekai Tangwena Drive, Greenside, Mutare, Manicaland– An alarm activation was received from the above-mentioned residence prompting the immediate dispatch of a response team. Upon arrival, a tenant at the property reported that a break-in had occurred at a cottage on the premises. The occupant reportedly saw the intruders but was too afraid to raise alarm. The suspects stole a TV monitor and money.
Fraud, 21 July 2025, 2002hrs, 9th Avenue and Fort Street, City Centre, Bulawayo – A report was received from a Safeguard guard at the above location that an unknown individual attempted to purchase food using counterfeit money. When confronted, the suspect fled the scene.
Theft, 18 July 2925, 2226hrs, Simon Mazorodze Road, Mutare, Manicaland – A call was received from the on-duty Safeguard guard reporting an unknown intruder attempting to flee with two empty plastic drums recently offloaded from a truck within the premises. Upon arrival, the response team encountered a second intruder who fled empty-handed after jumping over the fence. No items were reported stolen and ZRP attended the scene.
Theft, 11 July 2025, 1546hrs, Enterprise Road, Highlands, Harare – Two male suspects arrived in a Toyota Hilux at the shopping centre and unlawfully accessed a vehicle, stealing a laptop, money, and documents left in plain sight. The vehicle’s alarm sounded, prompting a security guard to respond; however, no signs of forced entry or damage were observed. The suspects then proceeded to steal from a second vehicle on the premises. CCTV footage later identified the same suspects as responsible for both thefts. Investigations are ongoing.
ZRP confirms the arrest of several suspects between the 24th and the 26th of July 2025 in connection with armed robbery, theft, and fraud cases committed between 11 July 2023 and 21 July 2025. In the early hours of Saturday the 26th of July 2025, three shops in Bulawayo were targeted by robbers. The suspects, driving an unmarked blue Honda Fit hybrid vehicle, entered the premises armed with firearms and ordered employees and customers to lie on the floor. The suspects then forcibly seized cash from money transfer agencies within the shops before fleeing the scenes.

Police in Victoria Falls have issued a prohibition order banning the carrying of dangerous weapons in public areas, following a recent surge in violent crimes. The ban will be in effect from the 30th of July to the 31st of October 2025 and covers Victoria Falls, Jambezi, and Kazungula. Authorities have warned that anyone found in violation faces arrest, a fine, or imprisonment.

On the 15th of July 2025 at approximately 1100hrs, five unidentified intruders broke into a residence in Highlands, Harare. The homeowner and her son were severely assaulted during the attack. The suspects fled with a white Toyota Land Cruiser, registration number ABP 5654. Police are investigating. In the early hours of the 28th of July 2025, three armed robbers targeted a residence in Emganwini, Bulawayo, stealing cash and cell phones. Police confirmed that at approximately 0300hrs the
suspects climbed over a precast wall, cut burglar bars on a window, and forcibly entered the home. The resident, who was asleep at the time, was awakened and threatened with a firearm. Fearing for his life, he surrendered cash and five cell phones before the suspects fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Police are searching for six suspects involved in a robbery at a wholesale shop in Murombedzi Growth Point, Zvimba, which occurred on the 10th of July 2025 at approximately 0009hrs. The suspects, armed with pistols and iron bars, overpowered a security guard, assaulted a resident at the manager’s home, and stole a cell phone. They then forced the manager to open the shop’s safe, from which they took a significant amount of money before fleeing.

A 22-year-old woman was arrested in Bulawayo for allegedly stealing a Toyota Tundra and cash from a man she had spent the night with in Khumalo. Police report that the accused took the vehicle and cash while the victim was asleep. The stolen vehicle was later found crashed near a fast-food outlet in the city’s central business district. The suspect returned to the victim’s home at approximately 0200hrs and attempted to steal a second vehicle but was apprehended after being disturbed by the gardener and the complainant. Police in Gwanda are investigating an armed robbery that took place at a gold mine in Sigodo on the 16th of July 2025. According to reports, three unidentified male suspects, armed with pistols, attacked mine employees and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, gold, and several mobile phones. Members of the public with any information are urged to report to the nearest police station.

A Harare man has been sentenced to six years in prison for attempting to steal a Honda Fit in the city centre. The incident occurred on the 10th of July 2025, when the accused entered the parked vehicle, threatened the owner with a metal bar and a claw hammer, and tried to drive off. The victim escaped and called for help, prompting bystanders to intervene and block the vehicle. The suspect attempted to flee but was apprehended by members of the public and handed over to the police.

Police in Southlea Park have arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with a robbery that occurred in Hopley, Harare, on the 3rd of July 2025. The suspect, along with an accomplice who remains at large, allegedly attacked a 26-year-old woman and stole her cell phone and money before fleeing. Investigations are ongoing to locate the outstanding suspect.

Six armed robbers stormed a fast-food outlet at a Shopping Centre in Kwekwe around 2200hrs last weekend, getting away with money and a vehicle. The suspects held a private security guard hostage at gunpoint, stole money from the till, and fled with a Mercedes-Benz. The vehicle was later found abandoned nearby.
Four men from Chipinge have been sentenced for an armed robbery committed in the early hours of June 30, 2025. At approximately 0300hrs, the offenders broke into a residence using a handbrake gear lever to force open the door. Armed with machetes and an axe, they threatened the occupant They stole various items before fleeing the scene. The victim reported the incident leading to the arrest of all four suspects.
