Unfortunately, crime is still on the rise and as we head into the Heroes’ and Defence Forces Holidays and then into the August school holidays, we advise all to be vigilant and conscious to criminal activity during this time.
Here is another reminder about security at home and office if you are going away.
- Check and test your security systems now. Make any bookings for security guards or service TODAY. Do not leave it to the last minute.
- If you have cash on the premises then bank it or secure it off site before you go.
- Secure vehicles and equipment outside if not covered by guard, alarm and response. - Do not leave valuables in your vehicle. Theft from vehicles is now common.
- If you are leaving, someone at home or having difficulties in arming your alarm system check out our videos on how to arm, disarm your alarm system etc. On You Tube.
- Lock up and make sure your alarm is on. If you have staff in the house whilst away then consider monitoring the arming on your phone /connect with the alarm app.
- Strict control of visitors. Better no visitors if you are away.
- Make sure you have downloaded the new free Safeguard App from Google play store or App store and you install it on your phone so that you are able to call for assistance.
- Let us know who will be on the property so that when we respond we know who to expect on site.
- Let us know who will have access to your property keys in your absence so that we can attend to any faults or false alarms
